Is there anything more difficult than trying to sum up your entire being in an essay? Maybe figuring out why Paris Hilton is a celebrity, but it would be close call. Anyway... How do I describe myself? Well, I can start with the basics, I suppose. Tall, in reasonably good shape, shaved head and blue eyes. I am a veteran of the Navy, Marine Corps, and Army where I served as a combat medic (Hospital Corpsman to be specific). I have one tattoo on my left shoulder, and am wanting another. I am back in school for my second degree (the first was English Literature), this time in Emergency Management. As far as personality... well, here it get's difficult. See, I don't know how to describe myself. I know I am sarcastic at times, like telling jokes, being around my friends, and enjoying the company of a special someone when there has been one in my life. I tend to be easy going for the most part, but I can be stubborn if I feel really strongly about something. I am loyal to fault, and my friends will always be my friends. My best friend describes me as Colossus from the X-men (yep, we're geeks.). He says that while I am laid back and easy-going, every now and then I look like I want to hit someone with something big and heavy... like a tank. Which is probably true. I like people for the most part, but every now and then you meet someone who you just really want to see out of the gene pool. I suppose it's that part of my personalty that makes me like punk music so much. Ah, well... you are who are, and you should only change if you don't like that person. And I like myself. Personally, I think I'm a hell of a guy. I also like cheesy 80's movies and hair bands, so my tastes may be a little "skewed". So that being said, my personality is.... eclectic would probably be the right word here. I am very proud of my Scottish heritage. I own a kilt, and can sing (but not well) more than enough Scottish folk songs. I like to tell jokes, and probably know WAY too many. Laughing is one of my favorite things. I love old photographs. I also love to take photographs, on actual film though. Digital doesn't have the same feel to me. I am a big kid as far as my other interests go (video games, comics, running around like an idiot outside rock climbing, swimming, whatever...) but I am mature as far as my relationships go. I believe that friendship is one of the strongest bonds that you can have with someone, and I am proud that my friends know they can count on me no matter what. This is very important to know - I have a strong sense of honor, and I am willing and able to back that up in my actions. I believe women should be treated with respect and dignity, but not like Faberge eggs. I trust people until they show me they cannot be trusted.
