Evolve Stage 2 Beta, Free 2 Play was launched and has had a spike of players return as Turtle Rock Studio announce 1 million players jumping on and hunter, or monstering their way to success. While only on PC, Turtle Rock have confirmed that once the beta period is over on the PC, they'll roll out the Free 2 Play version to consoles.
A new patch was release today, announcing the patch "Shear Madness: Quantum Caira"
This seems to be one of five updates under the Shear Madness umbrella with more teasers and reveals to come. During the next 5 weeks, 3 new characters, 3 new Map Variants and various community requested features will be released into Evolve Stage 2.
With a huge amount of bug fixes, some community features have landed, and in particular:
All Content is now unlocked in Solo mode - “Try before you buy”
Which helps the whole free 2 play, money trap.
In addition a new hunter tutorial has been released and huge fixes to matchmaking.
Evolve has been on our radar, and we even travelled to Gamescom to have a sneaky play of the game. It was met with the initial let down of the DLC nightmare which hurt the games launch. With the new shift to F2P and an unlock system, the game seems to have had a revitalisation
